If you take weeks to respond to a message without saying anything about taking a break or putting things on hold regardless of the issue I'm going to cancel. Communication is key, I don't want regular updates or to stifle your work flow but please keep in touch at least bi weekly so I know you're not ignoring me. I have commissioned several artist with no issue whatsoever. If you need time, say so, it's not a problem for there to be long gaps in communication, just let me know, so I can find someone else.

If you no longer want to commission, say it clearly, in your profile you talk about communication, use it.
