The cost and timeline depends on size and complexity, naturally. Some of the mosaic windows I've made have been on a reclaimed window, which is then hung within an existing window. Others have been done directly onto a window before installation, or even onto a clear glass pane that is then slipped in and caulked onto an existing window (making it removable.) This is a beautiful way to create a privacy screen, or just add color and design to your space. When light shines through, it casts color into the space. Design concepts are limitless, and can even include lettering/signage. Each piece of glass is hand-cut and adhered with a clear silicone glue, then grouted.
