Hello, and thanks for taking the time to investigate the terms of our potential transaction! Below are some common guidelines that should prevent any headaches for either party:
The Process
The Project Once you've gotten in touch, we can discuss the specifics of your project as well as exciting official things like resolution, file types, deadlines, and additional fees if applicable. Projects quoted at a value of $60 or more are subject to a 25% deposit, which is payable at this stage before any work begins.
Sketch I will supply a watermarked thumbnail-size sketch (usually approx 300x300) for your approval. Approve wisely! Significant design changes at this stage are welcome and encouraged, but once you finalize the sketch any significant design changes will incur additional charges.
Final Preview Following approval of the design stage, I will provide a watermarked, thumbnail-size image (usually approx 300x300) for your approval. Revisions included with this stage include tweaks to the colour or lighting, or changes to small design elements (ie. the logo on a shirt, not the style of shirt!) I reserve the right to decide what revisions fall under the category of included freebies, what will incur additional charges, and how much they will cost.
Payment! Everybody's favourite part. Once payment has been processed, we move on to...
Final Delivery I will provide via email a high-resolution non-watermarked image in the client's preferred format; my default if unspecified is .PNG
I Will Do:
- Just about anything. Any subject, any style. If I don't feel confident that I can successfully execute a piece in the style you specify, I will tell you up front.
- NSFW. Boobs (and more) don't scare me, they shouldn't scare you either.
I Won't Do:
- Any printing or shipping of material products.
Display, Usage, and Rights
- I retain all rights to the finished artwork
- The client retains all rights to concepts and characters
- The client can use and display the artwork for any non-commercial purposes (unless explicitly negotiated) including, but not limited to, social media, personal websites or galleries, and non-commercial print media with appropriate credit to the artist.
- I may display commissioned work on my personal website or gallery and use commissioned work in promotional materials
- I may recycle any works-in-progress pieces that were rejected by the client for use in other commissions or for personal works
