Once the details of the commission are discussed between the commissioner, I will begin work on the initial rough sketch. The rough sketch is comprised of basic proportions, clothing/accessories placement, facial expressions and roughed in background (if required).
All commission types are given at least one rough sketch for approval before the commission is finalized. Commissions involving color are also given at least one flat color draft to finalize any color decisions before the commission is finished. Cel-shaded and full color commissions are given at least two rough sketches before approval. The artist reserves the right to give more rough sketches at the commissioner's request, but not decrease them.
Rough sketches are quick and basic drawings to help convey posing, expressions, clothing, composition or more depending on the commissioner's request. They are sent at a much lower resolution than the final piece and with a watermark.
Once the rough sketch has been approved, no refund will be issued and changes to the initial sketch, though can be requested, may not be honored.
Final digital commissions are presented to the commissioner as a high resolution .png image, depending on the commissioner's request. Artist usually defaults to 8.5x11 inches at 300 dpi, but may change depending on the contents of the commission or by request of the commissioner.
Should a week pass with no communication between both parties or either the artist and/or commissioner become hostile to the other, both parties reserve the right cancel the commission. Should this happen after the approval stage for the commission, a refund may be issued at the artist's discretion.
The artist holds the right to post, redistribute, sell and edit any derivative work done through commissions. Rights distribution may be discussed separate from these Terms of Service.
The artist reserves the right to decline a commission for any reason before payment.
