Thanks for checking out my commission page! Here’s what I can offer you:
- Portraits — With some photo references, I can create an original work in whatever likeness you’ve sent me. If you’d like me simply to to recreate the photo in an artistic style I can do that quicker and more cheaply.
- Character Artwork — I’ll draw your OC, a favorite character, your _sona, and anything in between. Simple backgrounds, if any.
- Scene/Illustration — A full artwork of a character interacting with their environment. The works.
- Design Work — I’m proficient in poster and card design. A gift to your loved one with a personal card can mean a lot, and a well designed poster will look cool in your room or make your event look more organized and professional.
- Small Stuff — Avatars, sketches, and minor photoshop edits. If you’re in need of some quick artwork I’ll get that done in a flash for a couple bucks.
We can work out your vision with a nice chitchat via your preferred communication method, be that tumblr’s messenger, email, or text. I’m flexible artistically and indifferent to subject matter, so we can use previous works of mine along with anything that’s inspiring you to work out a style and price that fits your budget. I’ll spent time discussing your needs with you before the project stats to ensure we’re on the same page and I’ll continue to keep in touch as the artwork develops. You’re input is critical during all stages of development, even if it’s just a simple “yes/no” or “I like A more than B and C”.
Subject Matter:
There’s very little I won’t draw for you. I’m not going to help you get out of paying another artist or participate in fraud and I won’t draw child porn. Despite how my style tends to lean, I’m no good at generic anime art styles and I don’t think I’ve ever drawn a robot before so mechs and 1:1 anime reactions are out. Other than that, I’m cool with most of the other common commission no-goes: I’m down with drawing furries, porn, gore, or any combination of them. Unless you give me permission I will not be posting commissions publicly, so any personal information in the artwork will be kept private. For more information, please read the contract (I promise it’s not overly aggressive legalese).
Pricing:
I’ll charge a flat rate for simple to moderate projects. For more complex commissions, I’ll charge by the hour in addition to a flat fee.
Contract:
This is my default contract. If you would like to negotiate a different contract please contact me before any money changes hands. If you have any questions I’d be happy to clarify any points in the contract before discussing your commission.
“I” is in reference to the artist providing the service. “You” is in reference to the client.
Payment and Correspondence:
There are two different payment options. The first method applies to work that ranges from simple to moderate complexity. The second applies to more complicated projects. The method of payment will be discussed before any work begins on the project.
- Flat Rate Projects — Unless otherwise negotiated and agreed upon in writing, commissions valued above $10 will be payed in half before work starts on the project. The second half will be paid before delivery of the final work on the grounds that either A) you don’t want anymore revisions or B) I have revised the artwork the maximum number of times we agreed upon. If you would like more revisions beyond that we can discuss further payment, but the original price we discussed must be payed in full first. IN BRIEF: half-payment up front, the rest once it’s done.
- Hourly Projects — Unless otherwise negotiated and agreed upon in writing the commission’s flat fee will be payed in half before work starts on the project. Once work begins, I will keep time using a simple app to ensure accuracy in the hours I log. When the project is finished and you don’t want me to work on the project anymore, you pay me for the hours I worked at a rate we discussed and agreed upon in writing prior the start of the project, in addition to the other half of the flat fee. I will then deliver the final product to you. IN BRIEF: half-payment up front, plus payment for the hours worked and the remainder of the fee once it’s done.
While correspondence will take place on your platform(s) of choice, I will share all developmental works via email. To ensure your satisfaction and the quality of the work, I will contact you during critical stages of the development of the artwork to ask for your input before I move on to the next stage. I will not continue working on the project until I receive feedback, unless otherwise stated. These critical stages include art direction, layout, posing/expressions, and other features I deem relevant to your specific commission. This is process is meant to reduce the necessity of revisions. Changes made during this input process do not count towards allotted revisions. I will provide two revisions to the artwork after I deem it finished. More revisions can be negotiated at a cost.
Ideally, revisions will not have to start from the ground up. If you are wholly unhappy with the final product and do not wish to rollback to any previous version of the artwork, we can discuss a partial refund.
Alternate Versions of the final commission may be provided gratuitously, agreed upon during any part of the project’s development, or provided for a fee. They do not count towards revisions.
( If you would like more information about the revision process or your responsibilities as a client, please contact me, preferably before agreeing to the contract. )
I reserve the right to terminate the project and refund your money in full at any point during the lifespan of the project. In the event of non-payment, I retain full rights to all artwork produced and will not grant you access to the completed project until I receive full payment. I may seek legal counsel in the event of non-payment. I will retain records of our communications and cannot guarantee confidentiality in the event of legal action. I will not provide access to the project in the event of non-payment. I hold exclusive rights to the artwork produced until full payment is received. You may not utilize any draft materials or works-in-progress I share during our correspondence without my written permission until I receive full payment. After full payment you may use these files as you please and request any documentation or artwork related to your commission created during the span of the project.
Rights and Distribution:
I don’t share or post commissions publicly without your consent. That means unless otherwise specified, your commission will be kept private, between you and me. If you want the image to be shared on social media, it’s under your authority. Any correspondence we have over social networking and email will also remain private. I reserve the right to keep a digital copy of the artwork for personal reference.
You reserve the rights to use your commissioned work anyway you please (once payment is received in full) and I retain moral rights (credit for creating the artwork). Upon final payment, you will receive the original high-resolution .png file(s) and any other files necessary for the completion of your commission request. At your request, I can provide .psd file(s) and any additional artwork that went into the creation of the commissioned work, along with alternate file formats. File format conversion and resizing do not count towards revisions.
Any inquiries made with me that do not result in you choosing to hire me will still be bound by confidentiality.
Simple inquiries do not bind you to this contract. By choosing to use my services you agree that you have read and understand this contract and agree to its conditions.
