I draw out an entirely colored/shaded full body portrait of whatever character you'd like.
We'll start with a brief sketch to establish the pose of the character.
Next I'll build up the figure in perspective so we have a well constructed body to build upon.
After this I like to establish all the clothing/equipment and facial expression with an over-sketch
Finally I deliver the finished and cleaned up lineart before starting the coloring process.
Colors and values are added at the same time to the character, at this point the image is practically done.
I add in a background that compliments the character(s) and establishes a sense of space around the figure.
As a final step I do minor touch ups and balancing of the entire image. I will then send you a slightly shrunken version of the finished illustration and charge you exactly the price we agreed on at the start.
You then get to have me make final changes so you're guaranteed to be delivered the image you want if I somehow failed to nail it on my first go (this rarely happens)
And we're all done! You've got the piece you wanted and I'm that much closer to making rent, everyone wins!
