Jyotsna, a teen artist from urban India is inspired by the world outside and thoughts from within. Jyotsna's work can be classified as Neo-Realism. The artist's style is influenced by Impressionist, Renaissance, new age illustration and animation and modern art. She has been creating and illustrating all her life, being recognized at various levels for her art, expressing her views on nature, women's empowerment, oppression, love and life's little ironies. She works mainly with acrylics, inks, pencils, oils on paper, wood, canvas and boards and is constantly experimenting with new mediums and themes. An aspirant to study at India's premier Design School, NID, she does illustrations, freelance work, collaborations, commissions, design related applied art and fine art as well so as to build up her portfolio.
