Konnichiwa! My name is Marikit and I am the face behind marikit studios. I am a self-taught artist who is seeking to perfect her art. I am currently based in Tokyo Japan and I have been drawing since I was a child. When I am not dabbling around in my studio,I work Long hours or am studying the Japanese Language.
Art and creative work has always been my primary form of expression. I love spending hours in the studio, creating and painting. I also love hoarding art materials, creating and playing with colors, textures and learning new ways to use materials. My primary media are colored pencils, markers and watercolor.
I love books, art, food , jellyfish, movies, Japanese Culture and planning. My favorite genre is classic books, sci-fi, historical fiction and fantasy. Some of my favorite authors include, Jane Austen, JRR Tolkien, Niel Gaiman, etc. And I have always dreamt of creating my own fantasy universe like JRR Tolkien, Rick Riordan, JK Rowling and Terry Brooks. My art muses include the art of Akira Amano, Yoshitaka Amano, Agnes Cecile and Studio Ghibli. I am a fan of the strange, whimsical and queer. I am an Indigo Child.
