Commissions conducted without a written and signed legal document are by default considered Private Commissions and are subject to publication restrictions. Private Commissions may be showcased in portfolios, resumes, or blog posts by the artist. Private Commissions may not be mass produced or sold, though small batches of prints (does not exceed 10 copies at any one time) may be made by the commissioner for non-profit, personal purposes. Private Commissions featured on social media websites must provide an active link to the artist’s blog, portfolio, deviantArt or email address with credit to “V. Rios”.

Commercial Commissions, commissions bought with the intent purpose of use within a franchise or business, must be agreed upon over a signed legal document detailing copyright, publication rights, royalties, deadlines, and payment.
