BY COMMISSIONING ME YOU HAVE AGREED TO THE TERMS OF SERVICE
☆ What I draw☆
Will draw: Humanoids, anthros, copyrighted characters (on a case by case basis), ecchi
Will not draw: hentai/hardcore, fetish art, gore, content that I deem to be inappropriate (especially when underage characters are concern), animals, mecha
I accept commissions done as gifts for others as well as group pictures done with multiple people's characters. However permission by all parties must be given before I begin work. If for a gift I must be shown through the owner's own words that they accept gifts based on their characters. Gift art commissions of ecchi works will not be accepted.
I reserve the right to refuse any commission idea. If you are unsure of the subject matter, feel free to ask.
☆ Payment☆
Paypal and US Dollars are the only method of payment I currently accept.
The cost of the commission must be paid before I begin work.
If payment is not received within 30 days of the initial agreement the commission will be canceled, your slot will be lost and you will have to begin again.
☆ References☆
It is the client’s responsibility to provide up-to-date, clear reference images. If none are available, a detailed description of the character will do, however anything not explicitly mentioned may not be included in the image. Any oversights caused by my misinterpretation of reference material will be corrected free of charge.
References must be given before work can be done. The more references the better.
If the reference given is a written description, please be as clear and concise as possible. If you have links to examples as to what you are describing, please include them as well.
☆ Revisions and Approval☆
The client will be given a WIP of the sketching stage of the commission and any revisions that need to be done can be mentioned during this stage.
If the client would like WIP of the ink and flat color stages the client must tell me this before the sketching stage begins.
After approval of the sketch, no more revisions are offered based off the sketch based on composition and details of the commission.
A complete overhaul before the sketch is approved is free. However after approval of the sketch a flat fee of $5 USD will be charged per fix.
☆ Cancellation and Refunds☆
Once the artwork has been fully completed and sent to the client, refunds are no longer available. By approving a sketch you agree to pay for at least the sketch if you have to cancel. If the client cancels, they do not acquire any rights to the work and I may reuse it as I see fit.
☆ Refund percentages☆
Pre-sketch: 100% of total cost will be refunded
Sketch completed: 70% of total cost will be refunded
Inking completed: 50% of the total cost will be refunded
Flat-colors completed: 30% of total cost will be refunded
Fully completed: 0% of total cost will be refunded
☆ Refund options if I have to cancel☆
Complete refund: The commissioner does not have any right to any work produced for them. I may recycle any work made for future use, including in other commissions.
Partial refund: The commissioner gains rights to the piece described in the rights section below PLUS the right to have another artist complete the piece. The percentage of the cost refunded will be calculated from the outline above.
I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time.
☆ Rights☆
Unless explicitly negotiated, I have complete ownership rights to any work produced. This includes the right to distribute, print, sell, re-post or edit. The client, however, retains the rights to any original characters depicted (if applicable).
The right to have a piece altered by another artist will be granted in the case of a partial refund given only when the artist cancels the commission.
The client may use any images produced for them for personal and non-profit, non-commercial uses only. This includes using work as a website icon and reposting on another website with credit.
The client may not have any work I have produced for them edited or revised by another artist under any circumstance except in instances described in the “refunds” section.
Providing credit when the commission is uploaded is mandatory and appreciated.
If the client wants to keep the image private and not posted online or used by the artist, a privacy fee of 50% of the total cost of the commission will be applied. This does not give commercial rights to the image.
☆ Hosting and Back-ups☆
I cannot guarantee the safety of any commission file once I have sent the artwork, and it is the client’s responsibility to store any files sent to them. This includes saving work uploaded to any website that they are linked to. I can send direct links to files on request.
☆ Files☆
I do not provide .PSD or .SAI copies of my work, nor do I generally provide high resolution versions larger than the gallery size (ie, the size the picture is displayed as on art websites) unless otherwise agreed upon prior to the start of the commission.
☆Due Dates☆
If you have a date you need the commission by, please specify when the order is placed.
If none is specified the normal turn around time is 14-21 days.
If the commission completion is going to be beyond that time frame, the client will be contacted and options will be discussed.
The client cannot ask for a completion date a week or less after the order is placed.
