Upon contacting me for a commission, you accept these Terms Of Service.
• General Terms •
The commissions I offer are digital products only, and will be delivered to the email address provided by the customer.
I do not work without a visual reference. Please provide clear and accurate references of the commission subject so that I can provide you with a product accurate to your wishes. Additional details such as scars, birthmarks and piercings etc. can be added, so as long as you provide a short and accurate description of their location and type.
I’m currently not confident enough to paint mecha/anthro.
I retain the right to refuse a commission without giving a reason or an explanation.
• Payment •
The commission payment is required fully upfront.
I will not start working on your commission until I’ve received the payment. Once we’ve agreed upon the details of the commission, I will send a paypal invoice to your paypal address, with up to two days until expiration. Should I receive no payment upon the invoice’s expiration or should you fail to inform me of a delay, the commission contract will be nullified, and I will pass your slot to a another customer, should one be on a waiting list.
Alternatively, the billing will be handled by artistsnclients.com, if applicable.
• Cancelling/Refunding •
Should I fail to complete the commission, you will be fully refunded for the price of the product.
Should you wish to refund the commission, you will receive a refund based on the stage of completion. I.e. If I’ve not started working on your painting, you will receive full refund, in sketching phase you will be refunded 80% of the cost, and in painting phase you will receive a 50% refund.
Due to commissions being personalized products, a completed painting cannot be refunded.
• Process •
At this current time, I am not comfortable working under a set deadline.
Depending on my personal situation, it can take me between three days to approximately a week to complete a painting once I start it. I work on a single commission at a time, and if you are placed in a queue, I will inform you. Should the process be delayed longer than the estimate, I will be in contact with you.
I do not provide work in progress shots unless I require information in regards to the commission, or if specifically requested by the customer, once the work has reached a point where I believe it even remotely represents the finished product.
Once the painting is finished, I will provide you with two versions of the commission, one full resolution file at 300 DPI and a second, lower resolution file with a watermark for posting it in online galleries, blogs or profiles.
• Customer satisfaction •
Once the commission is complete, I will inquire if there are any minor changes to the finished picture that you would like for me to make, i.e. correcting eye, mouth or nose shape, height, size etc. I offer up to two free revisions, after which adjustments will cost a small fee.
Large adjustments, once the commission is completed and depending on the complexity, will always cost extra.
• Copyright/Usage Policy •
The commissions I offer are for personal, non-commercial use only. All rights and ownership of the artwork remain with the artist unless agreed otherwise. Rights, licences and ownership can be purchased at an additional cost.
I retain the right to use and post the work in my online gallery/blog, but I will not be using personalized artwork, such as original characters, for other miscellaneous products.
Do not edit out or alter my signature and/or my watermark, unless you are using the picture for an avatar that requires for the image to be cropped.
Should you wish to post the lower resolution version online, you are to not allowed to claim credit of the image, and must include “By Illyriel” in either the title or the description.
