For the easy flow of the process pls send me NAMED references or by linking them beside your descriptions.

Simple instruction but specific;
Normally I ask:

Face/faceclaim:
Pose/expression:
Clothing/Armor:
Hair/style Color:
etc.

Once everything is settled, I'll begin to work on a very rough sketch to see if I nailed what you thought of the pose, expression and overall design and composition. (except the sketch Slot)

After reviewing and approve it is where the process really starts (you'll pay right after i approve to confirm your order) I'll start cleaning and polishing the .
I'll send you WIPs (work in progress) so you can point out any possible error. However, it's really difficult to fix drastic things (like the pose) when the product is nearly finished. Oh, please don't do that. That's what the sketch phase is for!

When the product is finished, I'll send it to you and wait for the feedback (little changes are ok in this stage).
