Payment & Refunds

I only accept USD. Commissions are invoiced upon a quote being finalized, and payment is due in full upfront. Once paid, your commission will be moved to my to-do list. Commissions not paid within a week of receipt of the invoice will be canceled.

Refund Process

A full refund is only available if offered by me, or if 120 Days have passed without client receiving any progress on their piece. If I have started work on your piece, then a full refund is no longer an option. Only a partial refund will be offered to compensate for time spent on the piece. No refunds will be issued after the completion of the commission. Insisting upon a refund without extenuating circumstances or issuing a chargeback may result in a client being blacklisted from commissioning me again.

Turnaround

A completion date is not guaranteed, but most commissions are completed within two months of payment, if not sooner. Commissions paid for during an on the spot stream will be done same day, barring the unforeseen. If you need a commission by a specific date, and if my schedule allows, I will rush a commission for an additional fee.

Client Approval

Non-streamed commissions will be available for review based on the commission type. Headshots, busts, waist-ups, and full bodies will be reviewed at the sketch, line, and flat phases respectively. Icons and chibis will only available at the sketch phase. Emojis will be available for review after the base has been completed.

I will reach out via the client's preferred point of contact when there is a WIP to be reviewed, but my commission progress is also tracked on my Trello. Clients will be given a Trello card for each commission to bookmark and refer to at any time.

Queue Order

Commissions are generally completed in the order in which they were paid, however I reserve the right to work on commissions out of order or in batches. In the latter case, I would sketch or line multiple commissions in a sitting, breaking up the process into a more manageable workflow.

Polite inquiries are okay! I will be sure to respond in a timely manner. Harassment will not be tolerated. Harassment will get your commission canceled, your money refunded, and your name blacklisted from any future commissions.

Streaming

When time and health allow, I will endeavor to stream my work process. I prefer it because it affords my clients the opportunity to provide real-time feedback, which serves to both expedite the work process and ensure that the final product is as close to the client's vision as possible. I reserve the right to work off-stream, however, and will provide WIPs as outlined above in that case.

A Note About AI Art

I will not work with AI art references or AI art generated characters, full stop. I reserve the right to decline to draw a design for any reason, but this one will be a constant. If it is discovered that you misrepresented your design or refs, you may be blacklisted from commissioning me again. Please do not put me in a position where I have to choose between my morals and future income.

I do not permit the use of my work with generative AI technology, including, but not limited to, the training of learning models or the editing of my work.

Rights

I retain the right to display the finished piece and use it in marketing and promotional materials.

Edits

Commissions are meant to be used as-is, and any edits to the piece by anyone but myself are strictly disallowed unless express, written permission from me is obtained. Clients may resize or crop the image for display on character profiles and social media, provided my signature remains visible and intact.

Profit

The client may not profit from my work in any capacity. If you’re interested in a piece that will be used for merchandise or any kind of financial profit you MUST procure the rights by paying an agreed upon commercial licensing fee.

Crypto and NFTs

I explicitly forbid my work from being used with any blockchain technology. My work may not, under any circumstances, be turned into or traded as NFTs. If you see my work in such a state, it is art theft, and I would appreciate you informing me of it.

Additional Information

I reserve the right to reject a proposed commission without explanation. I also reserve the right to terminate and refund a commission for any reason.

Prices are subject to change at any time with or without notice, however quoted rates for inquiries will be honored in the event that my prices change after your commission is accepted.

It is the client’s responsibility to supply me with accurate depictions of their character(s). Photographic pose references are required for waist-up and full body pieces. I will not under any circumstances reference someone else's art for a pose. Substantial edits will not be made after the initial sketch WIP has been approved, so it's imperative that references reflect the client's vision as clearly as possible.

Constructive criticism is wonderful and helpful when insightful. If you feel that something requires an edit, please be clear and prepared to offer references as needed to better convey your vision.

Save Your Commission! After you have been supplied the finished piece, it becomes your responsibility to maintain your copy of the work. If you lose your copy of the commissioned work, and I no longer have it available, I have no obligation to, and will not, replace it. Additionally, I will not furnish art files to another entity should you choose to rehome the character design used in the commissioned art.
